The Cypriot educational organizational Non-Government organization CARDET in the framework of its capacity building and awareness actions funded an educational trip at 11th ICGLR-OECD-UN Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply for two local multipliers in Cyprus, mr. Marinos Avgousti, responsible for purchasing for Vasiliko Cement Works Public Limited and the educator-researcher Dr. Bertrand Baldet from Allienz held in OECD conference building in Paris over 2 days on the 2 to 4th May 2017.
Conflict Minerals have come increasingly into focus the last years with the recent passing of the European legislation of conflict minerals and the first implementation data for the implementation of US provisions on conflict minerals. The multipliers were immersed in the global discourse on global supply chains diligence and the debates about responsible purchasing practices within the global trade context. The multipliers will ensure the sustainability of the project.
